Three Services. One Considered Practice.
Each of our services is designed for a distinct circumstance in estate and inheritance law. All are conducted with the same standard of attention.
Return to HomeOur Approach to Every Engagement
Before we discuss any specific matter, we listen. Estate and inheritance questions are shaped by the particular circumstances of the client — their family structure, the composition of their assets, and the concerns that have brought them to us. A method that ignores these details will produce advice that does not fit.
Our process in each engagement begins with a conversation in which we ask the questions we need to ask and note the answers with care. From that point, the work is organised according to a defined process: reading, analysis, written record, and — where the matter requires it — action.
We keep clients informed at each stage. When something arises that affects the scope or the timeline of the work, we raise it promptly and discuss it before proceeding. We do not advance a matter without the client's knowledge.
Listen First
We understand the circumstances before we offer any view on the legal position.
Read Carefully
All documents are read in full and with attention to the details that matter.
Record in Writing
Findings and next steps are always confirmed in writing to the client.
Discuss Before Acting
Scope changes or complications are raised with the client before the work proceeds.
Will Review & Update
An appointment for clients who already hold a will and would like a careful independent review to confirm that the document continues to reflect their current wishes and circumstances. We read the existing document in detail, discuss any changes in the client's family situation since it was signed, and identify any matters that may benefit from updating. The client receives a written summary and, where they wish to proceed, we prepare the updated document for signature with appropriate witnesses present.
What this service includes
- Full reading of the existing will document
- Discussion of current family and asset circumstances
- Identification of provisions that may need updating
- Written summary of findings provided to client
- Updated document prepared and witnessed if required

Inheritance Dispute Counsel
Counsel for clients involved in disagreements regarding inheritance matters, whether arising from concerns about the validity of a will, the conduct of an executor, the treatment of particular assets, or relationships among beneficiaries. The work begins with a careful conversation about the circumstances and the relationships involved, after which we develop a measured approach that prioritises quiet resolution where possible. Court proceedings are pursued only where alternative paths have been considered and declined, and always with full prior discussion with the client.
What this service includes
- Initial consultation to understand the full circumstances
- Legal assessment of the client's position
- Development of a resolution approach
- Negotiation and mediation representation
- Court representation where no other path is available

Complex Estate Administration
Comprehensive administration of estates involving significant complexity, such as business holdings, foreign assets, multiple beneficiaries with differing interests, or unresolved questions about the validity of estate documents. The work includes detailed coordination of all elements over the timeline required, with regular review meetings to confirm priorities and discuss any matters arising. Suitable for executors of substantial estates and for families seeking continuity of careful counsel through a longer administration process.
What this service includes
- Full inventory and assessment of estate assets
- Coordination with financial institutions and third parties
- Management of foreign asset documentation
- Regular review meetings throughout administration
- Complete documentation package on closure
